The Azbukum Centre takes great pride in its Council
and team of lecturers. The Council gathers mostly professors from
the University of Novi Sad, members of the Serbian Academy of Sciences
and Arts in Belgrade and of the Matica srpska.
Taking care of programmes and courses which are offered throughout
the year they are actively involved in Centres work as lecturers
as well. Our Serbian language lecturers are young, energetic and
experienced educators, specially trained for work with foreigners.
All of them speak at least two foreign languages and have been teaching
Serbian as a foreign language for many years.

Professors
Professors at the Azbukum Centre are experienced
experts from different fields who have many years of experience
in working with foreigners. All professors, besides Serbian, speak
a minimum of one other foreign language. They are always at the
service of their students.
Some professors of the Serbian language in Azbukum are also the
authors of the coursebooks and additional class material which are
used in classes. One part of the professors of the Serbian language
are the authors of online programs for learning Serbian over the
Internet.
A majority of the Azbukum professors are regularly employed at the
University of Novi Sad or Belgrade, in Matica Srpska, the Serbian
Academy of Sciences and Art or some other eminent institutions in
Serbia.
Considering that Azbukum takes great care about the creating of
the courses, there is also constant evaluation of the professors.
All professors in the Azbukum Centre, before they begin working
in the classes, must attend a special program of preparation for
the teaching of Serbian as a foreign language, or holding a course
about Serbian culture.
During the course, students are invited to give their opinion about
their professors and grade their work through a teacher's evaluation
test.
